Specialty Tour: Victorian Language of Flowers
March 7 at 12:00 PM – Victorian Language of Flowers – Hosted by Kim
In the Victorian era, flowers spoke when words could not. Join us at the historic Belle Boyd Cottage for a fascinating look at the hidden meanings behind popular blooms and floral motifs. As we explore the cottage, we’ll uncover the symbolic messages woven into decorative objects and displays—and discover how 19th-century Americans used flowers to express sentiments that could not be spoken aloud.
Purchase your tickets online or at our Ivy Lodge during open hours (10 a.m.–4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday); please note that tickets must be secured at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
This ticket also includes day-of admission to our museums and grounds (open from 10am-4pm). Tours are subject to change. Stairs and outdoor walking may be required.
